Littleton Youth Soccer Club – May 4, 2016 Meeting Minutes
Members Present: Gary Austin, David Caouette, Bob Stall, Dan Fusco, Mike Levasseur, Mark Hollinger, Cheryl Hollinger, Peter Lloyd, Seth Landsman, Bob Chrenc, Tommy Proulx, Pat Stearns, Ted Doucette, Steve Bast, Liz Shocklin, and Matt Davis.
Gary Austin called the meeting to order at 7:37
Treasurer: Bank fraud news – police have subpoena issued, waiting on Bank of America. Their internal investigation may take upward to 90 days and we are not there yet. $36,000 in P&R account, $2,200 in Booster account.
Travel: Tryouts G7/8 now for June 6 and 9. G3/4 May 23 and May 25. G5/6 May 24 and 26. Boys 5-6:30 and girls 6:30 – 8PM at Russell St fields. Need letter to parents to explain new fall class groupings vs age grouping.
In-Town: All fine – getting ready for world cup.
Registrar: Fall registration now open. By a vote of 12-2-2 the late fees stay at $50, capped at one assessment per family. Family overall cap stays at $250. Cut off travel registrations at June 30.
NVYSL: League will pay for U10 CRs starting fall 2016. Grd 3/4 will play 7v7 fall 2016. Rec 1 G3/4 will have ARs. Roster size is 11. Grd 5/6 will play 9v9 starting fall 2016 with 7 players as the minimum. Roster size is 15. 2016 Nashoba Cup – voted that we will host if needed – weekend of 6/18.
Referees: Ongoing concern about paying under 14 refs. Town does not want them working. How do we handle for our ref-in-training program? We can pay out of booster account but issues abound.
Snack Shack/ Booster: All going well
Equipment: Nothing to report
Coach Development: E course available June 25-26 in Spencer. Can we host 7/16-17. $650 needed for janitor. Ted will try to determine interest, we need at least 15.
New Business
Need amendment to constitution - $500 or more dispersal needs either a phone call or email from the president to OK. Anything over $1,000 to go before the board.
Discussed field closures and decision process. Current process to remain in place ie. Town can close then up to president.
