Littleton Youth Soccer Club – September 7, 2016 Meeting Minutes

Members Present: Gary Austin, Pat Stearns, David Caouette, Bob Stall, Dan Fusco, Mike Levasseur, Mark Hollinger, Cheryl Hollinger, Seth Landsman, Bob Chrenc, Tommy Proulx, Ted Doucette, Steve Bast, Liz Shocklin, Scott Carrigan and Ryan Angel.

 

Gary Austin called the meeting to order at 7:30

 

August Minutes were approved.

 

Treasurer: NVYSL has been paid.  MYSA bill not in yet

 

Travel:  All coaches are set.  Growing pains at Gr 3&4 with many 4s on the lowest team.  Teaming by evaluation without regard to class year to be looked at after the season.

                                   

In-Town:  PW = 63 with 10 teams.  U8 will go with 9 players per team.

 

Registrar:  Total for the season is 509 (up from 487 last fall).  264 in-town, 137 boys travel and 108 girls travel.

 

NVYSL: League will have a tournament for Gr 5/6 on week 9 in Pepperell for rec teams (top 4 in each group).

 

Referees:  Ready to go.

 

Fields: 3 fields have been set up at St. Anne’s for practice.

 

Snack Shack/ Booster:  A spreadsheet will be generated so the coaches can input the helpers (in case we need to look for them.  Similar to score reporting spreadsheet.  Net from spring season was $1300.

 

Equipment: Everybody should be all set – will need some midseason refills.

 

Coach Development: Ted to send out tips each week.  10/1 is Revs game vs KC.

 

Booster: Bob to raffle off Celtic tix.  $25/ticket.  Limit 80 tickets.  Value is $700.  Also looking at a fundraiser through Menchies or Anthony’s at the point.  We can also sell items through the website with our logo on them.  We just pick the amount we want to add to the various items to go towards fundraising.  This can also be done through League Athletics

 

New Business

 

Uniforms – Pat needs existing numbers from coaches.  Process is very cumbersome the first time through.

P&R needs to set up some night hours to accept CORIs.

Upcoming: Field crunch in the spring and Holiday Bazaar.
