Littleton Youth Soccer Club – May 3, 2017 Meeting Minutes

Board Members Present: Gary Austin, Pat Stearns, David Caouette, Bob Stall, Dan Fusco, Bob Chrenc, Ted Doucette, Liz Shocklin, Scott Kerrigan, Tommy Proulx, Ryan Angel, Seth Landsman, and Mark Hollinger.  Guest: Chris Marrese

Gary Austin called the meeting to order at 7:32

There were no April Minutes

Treasurer: Approximately $25.7k in the park & rec account and $15.2k in Booster account

Travel:  With all the rain we are only 2 weeks in but so far OK.

In-Town:  Due to the weather in-town has only had one week of games.  Need to add dates for make-ups.  PW & U6 looking to add on Sunday while U8 will try to work in mid-week make-ups

Registrar:  Registration will open 5/15 for the fall season.

NVYSL:  League assessed us two $50 fines for games not played.  We will appeal based on the board’s belief that the games were not rescheduled according to league by-laws.  

Referees:  No formal RIT program this spring.  Plenty of refs for travel make-up games – may be harder for in-town.

Fields:  Long discussion on how the decision is reached to close the fields.  Problem is mid-day Friday call.  No resolution at this point.  Also, coaches are to take note of track meets when rescheduling.

Equipment:  No report.

New Business

Tryouts:  5/22 – G3/4; 5/24 = G5/6; 6/12&14 = G7/8; 6/13 = G3/4; 6/15 = G5/6 

Pictures: May 6 – rain or shine

World Cup – June 10 – but we only have the track until noon.  Without Alumni Field, parade on Whitcomb.  Extra skills event to be added and extra porta potties to be requested.
