Pat Stearns called the meeting to order at 7:35.
November Minutes The previous meeting's minutes were approved unanimously.
Treasurers Report Balance of $25747.80 in the town account, and approximately $14k in the booster account
Travel Report
Registration numbers are low at the moment for the spring season especially with the boys’ teams. The registration numbers are as follows:
Registrar Spring registration is ongoing and it will need to close by December 31st for travel teams and March 1st for in town teams.

Coach Development Recommending that coaches in the spring who only have a “G” license should pursue getting an “F” license
Booster Holiday Bazaar set for Saturday December 4th
Other items: 501c (3) Requirements for obtaining and maintaining 501c (3) Status
To Obtain: Finalized Constitution Form 1023 completed - Due by September 2011. You may get “automatic” tax exempt status up to 27 months after the formation of the organization. After that it gets tougher. If within 27 months all activities from the commencement are tax exempt. If after 27 months, only activities from the date of the application are exempt.
To maintain this status: Annual filings due November 15theach year. These are short form filings. Form 990 – N (e postcard). We will qualify for this if our receipts don’t exceed $25k for any more than one out of every three years. Starting in 2011 that jumps to $50k. There is no penalty for failure to file but if we go three years without filing we will lose the 501c (3) status. Any year we don’t file we will get a reminder.
