Diane and Michael Werling were in attendance in order to approach the board for a waiver to move their 5 year old son, whom they believe has better skills than his peers, from in town PW to U6.
The board explained that at this age it is a development program and non competitive or outcome based. It was also explained that if we grant this exception for him it would set a precedent and we would have to open this same option to other players/parents. It was suggested that if they were looking for a more challenging program then they should look into club soccer and that in town soccer is for a fun environment and for players at every skill level.
